CLEAR LAKE, Iowa (AP) - Clear Lake police say a former
Clear Lake woman reported missing in 1998 has been found
alive and well in Canada.
Lt. John Green says he spoke to Kenora Cavan this week.
She lives in Montreal, where she earned a college degree
and works.
Cavan was listed as missing on law enforcement Web sites
and the Doe Network, an international Web site for
missing persons.
Green says Cavan didn't know she was missing, and thought
it "strange" when he called.
Green says Cavan's parents are from Southeast Asia, and
language issues may have been a factor in not clearing up
her whereabouts earlier.
